Now in its fourteenth year, Seattle’s Fest French is a part of the Seattle Center’s FESTÁL cultural event series and attracts several thousand visitors each year. We invite you to join us at our 2026 festival which will celebrate and promote Francophone cultures to the greater Seattle area.

The event is free and open to the public! It draws inspiration from the worldwide “Day of Francophonie,” organized in over 100 countries each March to celebrate the diversity of Francophone cultures and traditions around the world. During the Seattle event, festival-goers of all ages have an opportunity to enjoy many activities – all with a “French” twist: live music, theater and dance performances, French cuisine, book sales, educational and informative seminars and demonstrations, games and more. We are always open to new ideas or suggestions from our participants!

Every year, we invite our community to join a unique theme - for example, in 2024 we hosted a drawing contest about the Olympic games; in 2025, the AEFE acredited schools organized a photo exhibition on Sustainability themed "a better Climate". In 2026, we invite you to let your imagination dream - this year's theme is "RÊVERIE" - one of the words without an English equivalent. Per ChatGPT: 

“Rêverie” is a French word that refers to a state of dreamy, peaceful daydreaming.

It usually means:

  • Letting your mind wander gently
  • Being lost in thought in a pleasant, reflective way
  • A calm, imaginative, almost poetic kind of daydream

The event is organized by the nonprofit organization, France Education Northwest, with the support of Seattle Center FESTÁL, the French-American Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest and other key partners.
